Periwinkle Variegata, Vinca Vine \’Variegata’ is a wonderful variegated foliage plant that drapes nicely over your combination planters. Vinca is a perfect filler that adds interest to any container plant, and these charming little vines are relatively carefree and deer resistant.
This vinca vine is a trailing vine that grows green with white-edged leaves. Variegated Vinca vine will not climb surfaces, but can be strung over wires or other such mediums.
It makes a terrific groundcover for flower beds. The creamy white margin and dark green leaves light up the shade on banks and steep slopes too; it roots as it spreads.
It is an evergreen perennial that displays a profusion of lilac blue flowers. Mix and combine the fragrant Sarcococca (Sarcococca ruscifolia) with this Vareigated periwinkle. They both are evergreen and like shade!
This plant can be a perennial in zones 9-11. In zones 3-8 it is an annual only.
