Peach trees need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Morning sun is best, as the strong rays quickly dry off the foliage from overnight dew.
Please provide fertile, well-drained soils. Improve drainage as needed by creating a mounded heap of soil 12 to 18 inches above the soil line and 3 feet out from the trunk, or plant in a raised bed.
Give your trees a moderate amount of water on a regular basis. Make the most of the supplemental water by applying mulch over the root system to a depth of 3 inches. Spread the mulch out 3 feet from the outside of the canopy.
