The Polemonium Stairway to Heaven, Polemonium reptans \’Stairway to Heaven’, has wonderful green leaves with white leaf margins that are tinged pink.
The pale lavender blue flowers are ¾ inches and are bell-shaped.
\’Stairway to Heaven’ blooms from June to July. It needs to be planted in a fully shaded area but will tolerate some morning sun in well-drained soil.
It is attractive to bees and butterflies and easy to maintain.
This vigorous, heat-tolerant selection can be planted with Polemonium \’Brise d’Anjou Jacobs Ladder’ or Hosta \’Patriot’.
