The Redleaf Rose, Rosa glauca, is a Shrub Rose which produces clear pink, fragrant flowers in June followed by long lasting bright red hips.
The reddish-violet stems and beautifully colored foliage, purple in sunny locations, gray green with mauve in shady areas.
The foliage has a reddish tint to it throughout the summer and then it turns even redder in the fall! Redleaf produces many bright red hips after blooming, becoming attractive throughout the fall and winter.
This rose has its own root. The advantage of own root Roses is that once established they are very resilient. If winter’s freezing breezes kill the top growth, the Rose will grow back in the spring, and the recovered Rose will look the same as the one you purchased.
Use this Rose for fall and winter interest, as a specimen, accent shrub, or a flowering hedge. Order one or two for your garden today!
