The Giant Hardy Phlox \’Laura’, Phlox paniculata, has a lavender-rose color, bright white center, dark eye, and it typically grows in an upright clump. The pretty flowers are densely arranged in large, terminal, pyramidal clusters.
We are pleased to offer some of the finest Hybrid Phlox varieties available. Garden Phlox, also known as Flame Flowers, bloom in profusion with huge 5-6″ flower heads for months. The blooms continue when nothing else is blooming in your yard and butterflies love them!
\’Laura’ produces flowers that are fragrant and showy, with brilliant non-fading colors. This Phlox is excellent for perennial borders, flower beds, corners, and makes a lovely bouquet.
The foliage is dense and compact with deep green, lance-shaped leaves. Plant in rich, well-drained soil, in full sun or light shade and space about 18-20″ apart. Phlox plants, like \’Laura’, have become the backbone of summer perennial gardens for many gardeners.
If Phlox plants are stressed, they will usually develop some mildew issues, so keep the location cool, slightly shaded, and provide moist, humus-rich soil.
