Fall Foliage Bonanza!

You know the formula – small plants in front, large plants in back, middle-sized plants in… well… the middle. Here, though, is a plant that you are going to want front and center no matter what! Fritsch Spirea (Spiraea fritschiana) is a beautiful three-season stunner that needs pride-of-place in your garden.

Commonly called Korean Spiraea, this is a summer-flowering shrub with great fall color. Fritsch Spiraea starts the spring with deep green leaves. Growing into a sweet round form it is covered in large, bold clusters of white flowers at the ends of the branches in early summer.

Even though the flowers are stunning, in the fall the striking red, orange, and yellow serrated oval leaves glow even brighter than the fall color of Oaks and Maples!

Fritsch Spiraea has coarser foliage than others, and if sheared back in spring, it produces giant summer blooms.

If you plant this Korean Spiraea in groups, you will have an absolutely magnificent eye-catching garden display, especially in the fall! Since it tends to fill out right to the ground, it does not require facer plants in front.

We know that you will love this shrub!
