Columbine Double Winky Blue and White Aquilegia vulgaris \’Double Winky Blue and White’, is a novelty variety of columbines with its unique double flowers.
The base of the flower petals and the short spurs are dark blue which fades to pure white at the top of each petal. The exquisite flowers of \’Winky Double Blue and White’ are presented in a cluster atop the nicely mounded foliage and face upward for best display.
\’Double Winky Blue and White’ is easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Remove flowering stems after bloom to encourage additional bloom. Keep soils uniformly moist after bloom to prolong attractive foliage appearance. When the foliage fades, plants may be cut to the ground.
\’Double Winky Blue and White’ look lovely in a mixed container with other early summer bloomers! The spectacular colors are superb near the front of beds and borders. They can be used individually in small clumps, or massed together in combined groupings to create a stunning explosion of extended color.
