The Hardy Geranium Double Jewel, \’Geranium sanguineum’, is a hardy Geranium from A. Verschoor Horticulture. This little gem has double white flowers and a pink-purple center.
\’Double Jewel’ grows under a foot tall and is quite at home in a pot or planter. The flower stalks defy most hardy Geraniums tendency to flop and instead hold themselves straight up.
It blooms even during the hottest months of the summer, preferring a bit of partial shade in the hotter, drier climates. If in hot sun, \’Double Jewel’ will need adequate moisture.
It is a much shorter variety than most Geraniums, which makes it perfect for a patio container, porches and front steps, and it works well in borders too.
